- Make x marks in back of garlic cloves and lightly fry in the oil
- Once garlic begins to take colour reduce heat to low to simmer, add both cans of tomatoes, break the tomatoes up with a fork
- Add Tomato puree and salt
- Continue to simmer sauce for 40-60 minutes
- Boil water, add pasta to a new pot, cover well with water, boil pasta till al dente, that is, just before soft, pasta will continue to cook out upon adding sauce
- When pasta is ready drain off and leave in pot, add the sauce off the heat. Stir and ensure sauce and pasta is covered well.
- Serve and dribble olive oil lightly over pasta
