- Wash Basa pieces well,make marinade of curd salt 1tspn ginger garlic paste cumin powder pepper.Apply to fish pieces keep aside
- Saute pieces in hot oil keep out in same oil fry onions and tomatoes add star anise and bay leaves salt to taste. Add rice with double the measure of water.
- Cook rice 10 minutes on slow cover cook last 3-4 minutes
- Place the fish pieces on top of rice and cover for five minutes
- Sprinkle fried onions garnish with green chilli spring onions tomato wedges as per choice
