- Make ready 1/4 Beetroot (totally optional)

- Wash, clean & grate the carrots. No need to grate them very finely.
- Add finely grated beetroot for a nice colour. Avoid it if you don’t like or if you have red carrots.
- Add milk, cook covered for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes add half of the clarified butter & cook for 2 minutes on medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Gradually add milk powder & ensure that there are no lumps in the halwa.
- Add sugar & mix well. Now it would release some water
- Stir it on medium/high heat till the halwa dries.
- Add the remaining clarified butter & mix well.
- Stir for 2 minutes on medium/high heat.
- Add cardamom powder & mix well.
- Add nuts of your choice & serve warm.
