The ingredients needed to make Broccoli Dal:
  1. Get 1 cup Toowar Daal
  2. Prepare 1/4 cup yellow moong daal

  7. Get 1 whole red chilli

  12. Get 2 tbsp oil
  13. Take 1 small broccoli
  14. Prepare to taste Salt

After two to three whistles, remove the cooker from the stove. Now for the seasoning, in a skillet heat oil and sputter mustard seeds and jeera. Add dry chillies, curry leaves and the seasoning along with salt to the cooked dal. Add the broccoli into a food processor and process until very finely chopped (about the size of rice grains).

Instructions to make Broccoli Dal:
  1. First cook dal in a pressure cooker.
  2. Take a pan heat 2 tbsp oil once oil is heated add cumin bay leaf whole red chilli and curry leaves after add asafoetida.
  3. After adding chopped onion sauté until golden brown add ginger garlic chilli paste sauté few minutes add chopped tomatoes sauté until tomatoes are tender.
  4. After adding all dry masala along with kitchen king masala sauté a few seconds and add cooked dal add some water and salt bring to boil.
  5. Take another pan heat 1 tbsp oil once the oil is heated add sliced onion and broccoli add salt and cook once your broccoli is cooked add over your prepared dal
  6. Enjoy your healthy broccoli dal with roti or rice.

Add dry chillies, curry leaves and the seasoning along with salt to the cooked dal. Add the broccoli into a food processor and process until very finely chopped (about the size of rice grains). Add the cumin and mustard seeds into the saucepan with the oil. The seeds should sizzle and begin popping in the oil right away. Plunge broccoli in cold water and set aside.
