We love kadhis, be it plain or with pakoras. At home we call it kadhi chawal, because the kadhi is had with plain rice or jeera rice. you can also have kadhi with roti but I always prefer to have kadhi with rice.

The ingredients needed to make Veg Kadi Pakora:
- Make ready 1/2 cup Raagi Four
- Make ready 1 1/2 cup Besan/gram flour
- Get 1 cup chopped Vegetables (Cauliflower, Potatoes, French Beans, Carrot, Onion)
- Take 1 medium Onion sliced
- Make ready 4-5 chopped Garlic Cloves
- Get 1 long chopped Green Chilli
- Prepare 1 inch grated Ginger
- Take 3-4 Cloves
- Get 1 tsp Jeera(cumin) for tadka
- Get 1/2 tsp Hing (Asafoetida) for tadka
- Prepare 1 Bay Leaf
- Make ready 2 cup Buttermilk
- Get 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- Take 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- Make ready 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
- Take to taste Salt
- Prepare as needed Oil for frying and Tadka
- Take as needed Water for Pakora Batter
Add the pakoras to the kadhi about an hour or so before you plan to serve it. That way they still stay fresh and also have a bit of time to absorb some of the kadhi. You can also make the kadhi a day in advance, you may need to thin it out though as it will thicken a bit overnight. The two are combined to make a mouth watering dish- kadhi pakora.
Steps to make Veg Kadi Pakora:
- In a vessel Add 1 cup Besan, Raagi Flowers, 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder, 1 tbsp Coriander Powder, chopped Vegetables and salt as per taste. Mos all dry ingredients well. Now add water into it and make a batter, as shown in the picture. Now in a Kadahi heat oil to fry pakoras.
- In a pot heat oil. Add Jeera, Hing, Bay Leaf, Cloves, Onions, Garlic Ginger, Chilli amd saute for few minutes. Now add all remaining spices. And mix well.
- On parrallel make a batter for Kadi using Buttermilk and remaining Besan. Add it into the tadka getting ready. After 1 boil add Pakoras in the Kadhi and let them cook all-together for 10 minutes. After 10 mins switch off the gas. Your Veg Kadhi Pakoras are ready. Goes with Rice. Enjoy Meal!
