  1. Get 1 cup Cooked rice
  2. Take 3 tsp Yogurt
  3. Take 1 tbs Semolina
  4. Take 1 Onion (cut into small pieces)
  5. Prepare 1 tsp Peppercorn (crushed)
  6. Get Few Curry leaves (Chopped)
  7. Get 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  8. Prepare 2-3 Green chilli (according to your taste) (chopped)
  9. Take to taste Salt
  10. Prepare As required Oil for fry

Mix all the ingredients well with your hands. Donot grind the rice too much. Aval Vada is an instant snack which doesn't the conventional process of soaking and grinding. Wash the flattened rice thoroughly, and add water just above the level of flattened rice and set it aside for.

Instructions to make Rice vada:
  1. Put the cooked rice, yogurt, semolina, salt in a mixer grinder and grind into a paste.
  2. Add chopped onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves, pepper and mix everything together.
  3. Keep a deep pan and pour enough oil, take lemon size ball, flatten slightly and make a hole in finger and add it in the oil.
  4. Turn and cook both sides until golden brown in medium flame.
  5. Serve this easy made crispy vada with coconut chutney or sambar
