Instructions to make Panchratna Dal Fry with Jeera Rice:
- First, you have to wash and soak dal in 1 cup of water for 5-7 minutes. At the same time, wash and soak rice in 1 cup of water.
- Now, put the rice on boiling mode for 8 minutes at a medium flame. Then take a cooker and add 1 tablespoon ghee and saute all dals for 3 minutes in little water. Then add 3 cups of water and half teaspoon of turmeric powder in dal and boil dal on medium flame.
- The next step is to take a pan and add 1 tablespoon ghee and 1 teaspoon oil. Then add bayleaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, kadi patta and mustard seeds. Now, add green chilli chopped garlic, ginger paste and onion pieces and salt to cook.
- Let onion cook for 3 minutes and tomato pieces and add salt for cooking. Then add half dhania jira powder and red chilli powder and turmeric powder and haram masala and let tomatoes saute.
- Now, add 1 cup water and cook dal for few minutes. Add some salt for taste.
- Now, take another pan and add 1 tablespoon ghee and 1 teaspoon oil. Add 1 tablespoon jeera and cook rice and toss it for few minutes. Add little salt for taste and spread coriander leaves.
- Finally, take a small vessel and add 1 tablespoon oil, jira, red chilli powder, garlic chopped and red chilli and give tadka to the dal. Serve dal fry and jira rice with Papad.
