Dal fry is made with toor dal mostly (split pigeon peas), an easy to cook, comfort food that goes well with steamed rice and some have it with roti/ phulkas too. - First soak both dal for 1/2 hrs then pressure cook for 3 whistle
- Now take pan add 2tbsp of ghee and add cumin seeds the add asafoetida and green chilli and ginger then add onion saute them well
- Then add tomatoes and add all the spices and salt cook for 4-5 min. Then add boiled dal and coriander leaves boil it for 5-7 min.
- Now on top add ghee and red chilli powder tadka
- Now for rice again soaked basmati rice for 1/2 and hrs
- Take a pressure cooker add 1 cup rice, salt and ghee and add 2 cups of water
- Pressure cook it for 3 whistle our steam rice is ready to eat
