  1. Cut the chayote squash into cubes and chop the onions into bite sized.Make sure the moongdal is soaked for around 15 minutes and drained.
  2. In a pan add oil and mustard,once crackled add curry leaves.After add the chillies and wait for them to crackle.
  3. Add in the onions and wait for them to turn translucent.
  4. Add in the chopped chayote squash and required salt.cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. After 5 minutes once the squash is half cooked add in the soaked moong dal, cover and cook for another 10 minutes.
  6. Once cooked add in the grated coconut, stir and switch off the stove.
