- Prepare 4 cups Basmati rice
- Get 4 cups Sugar

Steps to make Meethe Chawal:
- Boil rice with 10 cups of water and turn off the flame when it is 90% cooked. Strain off the excess water and keep aside.
- Mix required quantity of food colour to 2 tsp of water and leave aside.
- Take a heavy base pan and add ghee. Add other ingredients under tempering along with all dryfruits when ghee is heated up.
- Add sugar with 1/2 cup of water and stir continuously.
- Add saffron strands, elaichi powder and food colour mixture to the pan.
- Stir and cook till the sugar dissolves. - After sugar dissolves, add boiled rice and mix gently so there are no lumps.
- Reduce the flame and cook till the water evaporates.
- Transfer it to a serving bowl and serve hot.
