Instructions to make Mixed Dal with Palak Recipe:
  1. Boil the lentils with 5 whistles.
  2. Take 3 tbsp of boiled lentils and grind them.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon stick, cardamom and bay leaf.
  4. Add Ginger garlic paste in the pan and cook it unless it's aroma starts to emerge.
  5. Add cumin seeds and dried red chilli in the pan.
  6. Add chopped onion in the pan and let it turn transparent
  7. Add chopped tomatoes in the pan and let it sear.
  8. Add chopped spinach in the pan.
  9. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and lentils spices.
  10. Add funnel seeds in the pan.
  11. Add boiled lentils in the pan.
  12. Add 2 tbsp of grind lentils in the pan.
  13. Mix it well and add salt in it, simmer it and cover it with lid.
  14. Add kasoori Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves) in the pan.
  15. Add chopped coriander leaves in it.
  16. Add a cube of butter and serve it hot with steamed rice.
