The primary reason for the continued popularity and ubiquity of this dish comes down to two things. The key to Korean fried rice is to use one-day-old, leftover rice; freshly cooked rice causes the fried rice to be sticky and soggy in texture. I usually present this dish on a square plate.

The ingredients needed to make Fried rice:
  1. Get Cooked cold rice (I cooked 4 cups)
  2. Get 2 shallots
  3. Prepare 2 carrots (cut into small pieces)
  4. Make ready 2 sticks spring onion
  5. Get 250 g Prawn (pre cooked)
  6. Get 400 g beef diced into small bite size (pre cooked)
  7. Take 1/4 cup oil
  8. Prepare to taste Salt
  9. Prepare 1 tbsp black pepper
  10. Prepare 1/4 cup light soya sauce
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp Chinese season salt
  12. Prepare 3 Tbsp fried rice paste
  13. Prepare Seasoning Meat
  14. Take 1 tsp Garlic powder,
  15. Prepare 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
  16. Make ready 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  17. Prepare 1/2 Maggie cube or sauce (optional) set aside
  18. Get 1 tbsp Oyster sauce

Fried Rice is a combination of long grained rice, mixture of warm peas, carrots and onions with scrambled eggs mixed all together! You will not be getting take out any longer! Have fried rice as an entree or a side dish when serving it! If you love fried rice try these variations of fried rice: Bacon Fried Rice, Shrimp Fried Rice, Ham Fried Rice or Chicken Fried Rice.

Steps to make Fried rice:
  1. Cut meat into small pieces, wash and season with garlic powder, cayenne pepper, Soy sauce, Oyster sauce, Maggie cube or sauce (optional) set aside.
  2. Chop all the vegetables and set aside.
  3. In a wok or any deep pan, add oil and fry the beef till all the water has completely dried from the meat. Remove meat from the pan and set a side. Drizzle more oil to the pan and fry the onions till translucent. Add (fried rice paste) prawns and the Chinese season salt (optional), fry for 2 minutes on a low heat.
  4. Add all the vegetables and cook for 1 minutes, add the rice and keep stirring making sure the rice is well in cooperated with the sauce.
  5. Season to taste with salt, black pepper and a little bit of light soy sauce (at your own discretion)
  6. All done, enjoy with a side salad.

Remove from skillet and set aside. Stir in the rice, sauce mixture, eggs and roast pork until well mixed. Plate and drizzle with sesame oil, to taste. Scramble eggs in butter, breaking up the cooked eggs into small pieces. Fried rice is a takeout favorite, but it's also quick and easy to make at home.
