- Take coconut oil

- Roast the dalia in the kadai continous fr 5 minutes. Keep your gas on low.
- After roasting for 5 minutes, remove the dalia from the gas. And keep it in a plate.
- Then in the same kadai, add the coconut oil and let it heat after it gets hot add udad dal, mustard seeds, cut green chillies, curry leaves and the dalia to this. Roast the dalia again with the tadka for the next 8 to 9 minutes on low. You will able to smell the fragrance of the roasting dalia.
- Meanwhile as the dalia is getting roasted, heat the water and add salt to it.
- As soon as water starts boiling you add it to the roasted dalia and cover it with a plate.
- When you see steam coming out remove the plate and stir the dalia nice without the plate.
- Serve it warm and to it add coconut shavings.
