- First wash and dry fish well and seasoning with pinch of salt and pepper and set aside.
- Heat butter in a nonstick pan. Take a flour in plate coat fish in flour shake excess flour and fry fish till nice golden brown take it out in plate and set aside.
- Heat oil in skillet and add mustard seeds, let it splutter. Add the fenugreek seeds and saute for few seconds.
- Add onion, ginger and garlic.Saute until onion turn golden brown. - - Reduce the heat to low and add salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder and fenugreek leaves Mix well. Saute for about 5 minutes,stirring continuously until the color changes to a deep brownish red.
- Add yogurt and fry well. About 4-5 minutes - Add water and bring it to a boil. - Add salmon steaks and salt to taste add lemon juice Cover and cook over medium heat, until fish is cooked and sauce is thick. - - Remove from heat add coriander, chopped green chillies and keep covered for at least 10-15 minutes for the flavors to blend in. - - Served with white rice, naan or roti.
